2019 - 2020 Executive Board

Lily Zhang

Co-Program Director

Lily is a Senior double majoring in Social Policy and Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies. She was born in Beijing, China and lived in Naperville, IL (a suburb of Chicago) for eight years before coming to Northwestern. Lily first did ASB during POP and has been in love with it ever since! Outside of Northwestern, you will likely find Lily looking for tiramisu to console her solitude… Nah it’s really because she’s always hungry.

Eden Halterman

Co-Program Director

Eden is a senior studying communication, marketing, and history. She's from a small town just outside of Philadelphia, but will say she's from Philly if you ask. Her involvement with ASB was fate because she actually wrote about it in her "Why Northwestern?" application essay. After going on her first trip freshman year and joining the board her sophomore year, she fell in love with ASB and never left. Outside of ASB, Eden can be found watching Northwestern field hockey, watching NHL ice hockey, and starting sentences with "When I was abroad..."

Adam Davies

Trip Leader Coordinator

Adam (they/them) is a Senior from Appleton, Wisconsin studying Social Policy and Gender Studies. Their favorite ASB trips were going to Mission: Wolf where they got to meet three ambassador wolves and had a blast and leading Outfront to a LGBTQ nonprofit with their friends Sav and Neil! In their spare time, Adam really enjoys grilling and being out in nature, and you can usually find them stressing about ASG and ASB stuff in Norris in the GSRC or ASG office.

Savanna Ruiz

Trip Leader Coordinator

Savanna is a Senior studying Materials Engineering in McCormick who's been involved with ASB since day one of my freshman year with POP, winter, and spring trips! Savanna is super happy to close out the last year by helping train leaders and coordinating trips with Adam and Tara! ~❤️~ Savanna can be found exploring Chicago, long-boarding on the Lakefill, or petting random dogs!

Tara Krantz

Trip Leader Coordinator

Tara is a Junior from Cleveland, Ohio studying environmental science and Spanish. As a two time Mission: Wolf alum and a learning enthusiast, she is ready to help other ASB members lead amazing impactful trips. You can normally find her endlessly walking for north to south campus or in the bowels of Norris, but don't look too hard fall quarter because she's studying abroad in Ecuador.

Emily Pappin

Site Development-Logistics

Emily is a Junior from Hortonville, Wisconsin, studying Journalism and Environmental Policy and Culture. Her first ASB experience was the class trip to Mission: Wolf her Freshman year that she signed up for on a whim, and she's been involved ever since. Emily can generally be found sitting at a picnic table outside Norris or at any of the coffee shops along Sherman Avenue.

Sophia Artola

Site Development-Education

Sophia is a Sophomore from Chicago, IL studying Political Science and Global Health. She fell in love with ASB after her POP trip to Louisville, KY and became hooked on the community after her class trip to The Farm over spring break. Outside of ASB, you can find her drinking every type of coffee and ordering Postmates to the library.

Chase Stokes

Participant Coordinator

Chase is a Junior from Omaha, NE studying Psychology and Gender and Sexuality Studies. He first became involved with ASB after his pre-orientation trip in Louisville, KY. Since then, he has become an avid fan of all things ASB, as well as biking around the Lakefill and watching really bad reality TV.

Leah Berridge

Public Relations Coordinator

Leah Berridge is a Junior from London, UK double majoring in Radio/Television/Film, and Philosophy. In her spare time she plays soccer (football) and rock climbs, and her first ASB trip was to Pensacola, Florida!

Michelle Kim

Community Outreach Coordinator

Michelle is a Senior double majoring in Chemical Engineering and Managerial Analytics. She has led multiple ASB trips, such as the Prison Entrepreneurship Program in Dallas, TX and Focus: Hope in Detroit, MI.

Abby Petrotta

Logistics Coordinator

Abby is a Junior double majoring in Biology and Global Health, with a minor in Psychology. She fell in love with ASB after participating in a trip to Pensacola to work with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. In her free time, she loves to try new restaurants and watch documentaries!
